If interested, you'll want to register now for the Spring of 2011 as we have a strict limit of 25 schools per week and expect to fill up quickly. Important Information for the 2011 Dates: Sunday, February 20 - Saturday, April 23, 2011. Who's Eligible: NCAA Division I, II & III, NAIA, Junior Colleges and High Schools are all welcome. Teams only play within their own division unless coaches agree to cross over games. Venues: We've secured several outstanding fields in the Phoenix area, all within a 20 mile radius. Snedigar Park, Chandler, AZ, a 2 field facility, formerly the spring training home of the Milwaukee Brewers. Gene Autry Park, Mesa, AZ, a 3 field facility, formerly the spring training home of the Anaheim Angels. Red Mountain Park, Mesa, AZ, an excellent 3 field municipal complex with college distances. Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ, South Mountain Community College, Phoenix, AZ, Scottsdale Community College, Scottsdale, AZ, Glendale Community College, Glendale, AZ, Phoenix College, Phoenix, AZ, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Chandler, AZ and several east valley high schools with fields comparable or better than most NCAA D III colleges. Registration Fee: A non-refundable $250 registration fee (not a deposit) is due within three weeks of the date of registration. See the registration tab for more information. Game/Practice Fees: $150 per game per team for day games, $200 for night games, $100 for 2 hour day practice, $150 for 2 hour night practice. Charges include field rental, umpire, insurance and administrative costs.
Rain-outs: Games started but not completed due to rain will not be refunded. Games not started due to rain will be refunded $100 per game. Rained out practices will be refunded $50. Practices canceled by coaches will not be refunded. Scheduling: After registering and receiving the final list of teams in early November, each coach will submit a schedule request form on our web site between November 7 and December 1 requesting number of daily games, specific off-day(s) and desired opponents.
Hotels: We've secured the lowest team rates of any college spring break tournament with several area hotels for colleges playing in the 2011 RussMatt Greater Phoenix Invitational. Hotels will fill up fast for March so we recommend that you register early as we'll book on a first come first serve basis. See the hotel tab for more information. Vans: Special 2011 RussMatt Greater Phoenix Invitational team rates with A-1 Leasing and Budget will be posted this fall for March bookings. See the vans tab for more information. Airfare: Flights from Northeast, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic cities to Phoenix are usually as cheap or cheaper than Florida fares. See the Flights tab for more info. Teams: Last year 75 college teams participated in the RussMatt Greater Phoenix Invitational. Feel free to speak to any of those coaches about the quality of RussMatt events and level of customer service by clicking on the RussMatt Greater Phoenix Invitational teams tab.
